The Kerrville Tennis Association (KTA) is a non-profit, volunteer-driven community tennis organization committed to promoting and developing the lifetime sports of tennis & pickleball in the Hill Country of Texas. We believe these sports provide physical fitness, social and community connection, sportsmanship, fun & recreation, and growth of character.

The KTA plans social mixers, advocates for quality tennis & pickleball programs & facilities for our tennis community, provides support to school tennis programs and provides junior scholarships & financial assistance to make tennis accessible to all.

History of the KTA

The Kerrville Tennis Association has a long history in the Kerrville area with the sport of tennis. The KTA was originally founded in 1973 with the goal to help the Kerrville community through the sport of tennis, and we still have that desire today as we look back on our past and look forward to our future!

Beginning in 1978, KTA raised the funds required to build the original 6 courts at the municipal tennis complex. 1984 brought the need for a full-size practice wall. This project was also funded by KTA donors. Through the years, our sponsorship of summer clinics for juniors, provision of shade shelters, funds for pro-shop expansion, sponsorship of various tournaments, and funds raised for lighting the courts have all been made possible by the hard-working volunteers of the KTA.

The KTA has impacted our local high school tennis programs through the purchase of a storage building for Tivy High School, provision of uniforms to Tivy High School, donations of new court squeegees to Ingram Tom Moore High School, and the creation of annual scholarships to both Tivy High School and Ingram Tom Moore High School graduating seniors.

In addition, the KTA has sponsored many fun mixers throughout the years and we look forward to many more to come and to include the growingly popular and fast-paced sport of pickleball!

Your continued support of the KTA and our programs allows the sports of tennis & pickleball to be more readily available and enjoyable to all in our community.
